3rd Edition of Infectious Diseases World Conference 2027

Scientific Sessions - IDWC 2026

One Health Approach in Infectious Diseases

At the IDWC, the One Health session will provide insight into how human, animal, and environmental health systems interconnect and how diseases emerge at their intersection. There will be a focus on the need for interdisciplinary collaboration among experts to develop integrated approaches to prevent and control disease. Another area of focus at IDWC will be sustainability in global health initiatives, with case studies demonstrating successful One Health implementations. Ultimately, the One Health session will expand participants’ collective understanding of disease dynamics to enhance global health security.

During this session, further discussions on zoonosis prevention and the impact of environmental/ecological factors will take place. Research findings regarding their impact on health will also be addressed. The IDWC conference encourages cross-sector collaboration between scientists and policymakers. It will feature innovative approaches to disease surveillance and highlight the need to integrate data across multiple disciplines and to share best practices for the latest technological innovations that improve early detection of outbreaks. Finally, the session will promote research and collaboration.

In addition, the One Health session at IDWC will explore policies that are supportive of One Health initiatives, including all existing global frameworks for One Health. The discussion will include practical applications and examples from various regions. Additionally, the One Health session at IDWC will emphasise collaboration among stakeholders through governance and resource sharing. Partnerships developed through the IDWC conference will also address capacity building and the development of training programmes. The One Health session will conclude with a discussion on future directions to achieve global health integrity.
