3rd Edition of Infectious Diseases World Conference 2026

Scientific Sessions

Public Health Policy and Infectious Diseases

At IDWC 2026, experts will discuss Public Health Policy, including how decisions are made regarding the governance of infectious diseases. The regulations and the development of new policies will be emphasized; the presentation will address the challenges of implementing these policies. The participants will also discuss possible ways to better solidify health systems through the collaborative effort of many sectors that IDWC 2026 aims to foster. The session will include case studies of how various policies succeed (or do not) in achieving their goals, further enhancing participants' understanding of how governance affects the system's effective functioning. Researchers will present findings on outcomes of policies related to pandemic preparedness and response. Participants will have the opportunity to explore innovations in governance to improve global health strategies and policies that advance health equity and access. There will also be discussions on advancing the current state of the policy development process and on how such policies can improve health outcomes. The session will specifically promote partnerships and research.

Decision-making regarding ethical issues will also be discussed during this session at IDWC 2026. Participants will examine fairness in resource allocation; in addition, they will examine how social determinants influence health outcomes. Participants in this session will be encouraged to focus on developing policy equitably. IDWC 2026 is also committed to creating a forum for dialogue among all stakeholders. This will include discussions on international cooperation and the implementation of recommended actions, which will ultimately improve global governance systems.
