The session on HIV/AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections during IDWC 2026 will examine the ongoing global HIV/AIDS and STIs burden. Experts will share knowledge on the epidemiology and transmission dynamics of the epidemic, as well as prevention strategies. This will include a review of current treatments and long-term management information for these diseases, along with public health intervention strategies to reduce infection rates. As well as raising awareness about HIV/AIDS and STI sexual health-related educational issues through this session, case studies will be used throughout to illustrate examples of successful prevention programs.
In addition, talks will include discussions of antiretroviral therapy, new treatment options under development, and current research on drug resistance and patient adherence to treatment. Through its promotion of innovative research, IDWC 2026 will encourage advanced research into all aspects of HIV/AIDS and STIs. The session will also examine recent advances in diagnostic technology and screening methods, stressing the importance of early-stage detection and intervention, and encouraging collaborative research.
Social and policy issues will also be discussed at IDWC 2026. Experts will talk about strategies for reducing stigma and working with communities to address HIV/AIDS and STIs. During this session, we will review barriers to medical care across different populations, as well as health policies that support inclusive and equitable health care.
